Atlas Computers and University of Limerick have jointly developed an automated process for finding potential sites for pumped hydro electric energy storage.

Shane MacLaughlin of Atlas Computers and Dr David Connolly of
University of Limerick have jointly developed an automated process for
finding potential sites for pumped hydro electric energy storage.
This process has been tested and is now available as a commercial
service. It has already been used to good effect by Limerick
Clare Energy Agency, with multiple potential sites found in both
Limerick and Clare.
